A finger sling is an accessory that helps the archer shoot safely without gripping the bow.
Worn on the thumb and index finger or middle finger, it prevents the bow from falling from the hand at the moment of release.
It allows the archer to avoid gripping the bow tightly.
It creates a “natural grip relaxation” during the release and helps the bow fall forward smoothly in the follow-through.
